When It Rains It Pours

Today has been a good day despite the more convincingly autumnal temperature. Blessed with a little drizzle the morning's activities went ahead as planned (and enjoyed by all) and the fresh fall awoke a pine fresh scent that accompanied the afternoon of woodland challenges.

The evening's entertainments included Blizzard. For the uninitiated this requires two large tubs of socks (rolled and stitched to prevent coming loose). Two teams stand either side of a defined line and let loose the socks. Imagine a snowball fight...except with socks. The aim is to finish with fewer socks on your side than the opposing team. If this description still baffles you here is some amateur footage for your delight and delectation.

Following this Dave and Marcus then went on to present 'Jesus as the True Vine'. An incredible feat considering how hard it could have been to keep these kid's attention. The talk was delivered expertly with some well thought audience interaction. A great end to the day.
