It's not an everyday occurrence and it's certainly not something we can guarantee will happen on every DisTIL year but it is certainly worth posting about.
This morning Dave and Rachel were called upon by a maiden in distress as the lady living next door to the staff house went into labour. Valiantly bundling her into the back of the A+ Astra they expertly chauffeured her to the JR hospital in Oxford, delivered her into the hands of the professionals and returned to the office to continue on their covert lives as normal outdoor pursuits instructors. It was only later in the day that they found out how close to making (A+) history they came as the baby was born 10 minutes after their arrival at the hospital!
Phrases such as "all in God's timing" spring to mind along with "do we have a risk assessment for that?"
