Summer sun and something's begun...

Hands up if you are enjoying the weather at the moment. We are certainly enjoying the sunshine. Following the business of last month this month has had a leisurely start with only a few events booked in for the first couple of days we managed to get in some R&R during which my Little brother got married (horray!) Congratulations Mr & Mrs Rees on a beautiful ceremony.

While Lizzy held the fort here in the office James, James, Chris, Jenni and I ran a Team Challenge day for all Souls in London where we challenged the members of the church to recreate All Souls Langham Place, I think you'll agree they did a pretty awesome job, well done Guys!

We then attended the  Base Launch. We are excited about the prospect of the adventure base here in West Oxfordshire. We have been blessed with an opportunity to purchase farmland and have gained planning permission for change of use for a field behind Windmill Farm Conference Centre. We have a blank canvas on which to design for the glory of God and the benefit of many young and older people for decades to come. I am particularly looking forward to the opportunity to try Coast steering and Parkour. Jon Shared with us the challenge that lies ahead and the various deadlines which will need to be met. He also shared this verse from Philippians to encourage us as we embark on this amazing adventure:

I have received full payment and have more than enough. I am amply supplied, now that I have received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent. They are a fragrant offering, an acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to God. And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.
(Phillippians 4 18-19 NIV)

if you want to find out more get in touch.

Simon headed off to sunny Cornwall and Jenni attended a conference in London on alternative provision as I was promoted to Gold DofE assessor so am about to head out on my first assignment 5 days on the River Wye.... it's a hard life!
