It is safe to say that January has been pretty wet! - on the positive side this has meant that it hasn't been too icy which makes cycling a lot safer.
We have been out on our bikes this month preparing for our Mountain Bike Instructor Award Scheme.
The purpose of the 'Mountain-bike Instructors' Award Scheme, (MIAS) is to promote safe enjoyment of all aspects of mountain-biking in an on and off road environment. Essentially it is to have fun in the outdoors on our bikes safely!
We have been pushing ourselves to the limit to ensure that we are competent on our bikes so that when the sun finally gets here (and even if it doesn't) we can enjoy the off road experiences with groups.
In particular we enjoyed a day on the Verderers' Trail in the Forest of Dean. An exciting and adventurous trail for both intermediate and experienced cyclists on mountain bikes.
We also checked out the local cycle routes and discovered that at this time of year they can get pretty muddy! - In some places it was like being on a hovercraft definately a challenge but the lads had lots of fun. Good Times!
