....when you're part of a team...

Yay! - Finally achieved my kayak roll - in a pool with the guys on standby to Eskimo rescue - now for the real test of getting some practise in on the lake! It has been a great couple of months - Jenni has completed the first of her 3 in 3 challenges running the A+ half in 2hrs and 2 mins, for a cross country route with lots of mud and styles this is a awesome time.

JP has climbed his 3 Scottish peaks and Luke has mastered the V4 looking to further improve to a V5 by the end of the year.

It has been a busy time organising some very successful events in particular the Home Run and  Family fun day. Hog roast was eaten, arrows were shot, bikes were ridden and the Climbing wall scaled as well as some circus skills, field games, bouncy castle and face painting. The sun shone brightly and the ice cream truck was well used! We were well supported by many familiar faces and some new volunteers. The Marathon was won by our very own Mr Jonny Bownds who completed the course in 4hrs and 37 mins a very impressive time.

We are looking ahead to the summer months and the joy of spending time with lots of young people on residential and one day events as well as the numerous fĂȘtes and fun-days. Come and check out the climbing wall at Fun in the Park in Abingdon or the Tricky trail bikes at the OPA event in Littlemore.
