Last week we had the TA Reunion happening right here at the new AdventureBase site at Windmill Farm.
12 young people from Total Adventure Peak 2015 took 3 days out of their half term break and spent it with us and others they met in the summer.
We had a great time doing activities together such as: Fencing, Climbing, Archery, Canoeing and Sports. We also discussed possible changes/improvements they could think of for the next time they come on camp, and reminisced on the good times they had in the summer and how we can replicate their best memories next year.
Some particularly memorable moments of the week were the very intense fencing tournament (won by my team!), the climbing session where many rubber ducks were taken hostage by blue-tack on the roof, and not forgetting the canoe trip we managed to complete with only one capsize and 2 giant marrows to add to the team?!
We also enjoyed watching a movie on the 'Big Screen' all together before having a mass sleepover in the conference hall complete with Hot Chocolate and marshmallows!
It was so good to catch up with the young people we met in the summer and see how the work we do with them really is remembered and useful in their everyday lives, as well as something to look forward to in the summer, or the next A+ event they are able to attend.
