Within the past few weeks work has begun on the future woodland of the AdventureBase. Many of the AdventurePlus staff, along with volunteers from the local area such as students from Abingdon and Witney college, have been involved in planting partially grown trees into their new home at the copse on our new site.

Planting the young trees has been a lot of fun, and a great chance to get out of the office and get our hands (and faces) dirty.

Thanks to the students from Abingdon and Witney college the DisTIL team all now know how to correctly plant trees, a skill which could always come in handy. It’ll be a while before the trees resemble a woodland, but I’m sure everyone will agree that it is an amazing feeling to have contributed to the process and that it is incredibly satisfying to know that the (smaller than even me) trees that we have planted will one day become a forest and a part of the future.
